Hey all, A few of you requested a meet up, and some of us have been talking about this on the FB page too. SO, let's see who would be interested in a MLO get together and where/when? So far we're thinking London would be easy, but for those further up north maybe Birmingham? Perhaps we could have two meetups? Also around the end of September time would give everyone enough notice to buy train tickets cheap and plan for the trip. It would be good if you came with someone else close to your area, so that you weren't travelling on your own. For example, Molly and Kim live close to each other so could go down together on the train. Coaches are also really cheap to London if you book in advance or in groups.
What does everyone think? Would be good to get something together and see all your lovely faces  Also, if you need a 'safe' person with you (like I need Jake) then it would be absolutely fine to bring them too. Thanks a lot Bex |

This is a fab idea. I'm not sure how commonly used they are but there's a company called Mega Bus that leaves Norwich bus station (might have them in other cities too) and you can get to London for as little as a £1. Yes, just £1! Obviously depends on time and date but worth a look if you can travel by coach.
End of September is ideal for me, may have to bring James my "safe" person!

Excellent! Also, I put this on Facebook but some of you here may also be interested in the idea: How about our own tea and talk events? If you're too far away or can't afford to go to a big meet up then you could run your own little tea & talk events in your town. This would be great if a few of you live close together! You could ask a coffee shop if you can borrow a little section for an hour or two, then our marketing team could put some posters together for your event. MHF do this kind of thing and it's great for fundraising and to meet people with MH disorders: www.mentalhealth.org.uk/get-involved/as-a-fundraiser/teaandtalk/What do you think? I'd love to come if we can sort out an exact date, but I'm hoping to be in London on September 10th anyway because I'm going to a concert and I'll have nothing else to do all day. So if we could arrange it for then It'd be great *wink wink* lol. |

Nicole..would be happy to sort something out with you re: travel from Glasgow. Although, if it's the final weekend in Sept, I'm already going to be in London and have sorted out travel already! Lol.

I'd come if I had a safe person with me, but I think that, if I could manage the journey, I trust Bex and James enough to use them as a safe person...
But isn't London very busy? Birmingham might be better and more accessable, and I'll be starting my course at uni on the 28th but will do what I can to make it xx
