I would love to try cbt however I have discharged myself from all the services and now have no link to things like this. My gp wont refer me.
is it good? What do they do?

I had CBT for a few months. I found it really helpful although the first two sessions were a bit difficult as it was a bit emotional, going over everything that had led me to that point. But it was important as that made talking to the psychologist a bit easier. Having someone who was non judgmental and yet understanding was amazing. The NHS description is good. It doesn't help you to get rid of your problems, but you it does help you to deal with them. Something I desperately needed.
