Hi! My name is Kelsi. I live on a flat expanse of prairie just about smack-dab in the middle of the United States surrounded by wind and cattle. I am rather new to the whole forum thing. I have tried it once before without success, but I reallly like Minds Like Ours so I'm giving it a go again. I am 31, married with 3 little girls--well not so little anymore, my youngest is six weeks shy of being 6--a stay-at-home mother/homemaker. I am a Christian. I do not try to force my views on others, but you will see my views in my writing. I hope no one takes offense because I am not actively trying to give it away. My faith has helped me to realize time and again that I am not who my illness(es) make me appear to be which is an amazing thing because I struggle with dissociation, unstable self image, and severe self loathing at times. I have been diagnosed as having Bipolar I, OCD, Anxiety, and suffer from Borderline Personality Traits. It may not seem to be the case, but it has been, and sometimes still is, very hard for me to open up to others. I'd much rather just stay inside my comfort zone, at home, away from other people, but I know that isn't good for me either! So there ya have it. I probably could go on, but I can tell I am starting to ramble :$.... Bye!

Hi Kelsi. Firstly, welcome to Minds Like Ours (MiLO).
Secondly, this forum isn't scary and if you don't feel comfortable posting anything or replying to others comments, then that is ok.
I have OCD myself and I do struggle to open up to others too but since joining MiLO, I have become more open about my illnesses and have found the group very supportive.
MiLO is here to support you in whatever way you feel comfortable and I'm sure you wouldn't force your opinions on us or offend us.
Don't worry about rambling, you have done well by posting this as some of us know it is hard to talk about ourselves openly.
Please do get involved with discussions and topics within the forum and once again, a warm welcome to MiLO

Hey, welcome to Milo! Hope you're feeling welcome. I doubt anyone would be offended. I come from the same point of view with the Christian views and things, no one has yet been offended I don't think!
