I got given this in therapy today, and I just have to share it with you all, because it's lovely Autobiography - in 5 short chaptersChapter OneI walk down the street There is a deep hole in the sidewalk I fall in I am lost.... I am helpless It isn't my fault It takes forever to find a way out Chapter Two I walk down the same street There is a deep hole in the sidewalk I pretend I don't see it I fall in again I can't believe I'm in the same place But it isn't my fault It still takes a long time to get out Chapter ThreeI walk down the same street There is a deep hole in the sidewalk I see it is there I still fall in.... it's a habit My eyes are open I know where I am It's my (de)fault.... I get out immediately Chapter Four I walk down the same street There is a deep hole in the sidewalk I walk around it Chapter Five I walk down a different street Keep walking towards recovery guys!! Every step, even if it's a trip, is a trip in the right direction xxxxx

Thank you, I needed this today! I was arguing with my care co-ordinator about meal plan changes and how I keep failing them so I saw no reason to make anymore. But this is pretty much what she said nut in a more understandable way!

I absolutely LOVE this!
This is a perfect description of Mental Illness without even mentioning it!

Thank you SO much for sharing this Mia. What I like is what Keeley said - there's not so much of a focus on illness as such, and instead just about picking yourself up and trying again. I love it. xxx
