*trigger warning* just in case www.channel4.com/programmes/psychopath-nightChannel 4 are advertising their "psychopath night". What the hell?! For goodness sake. Do people know nothing?!?!?! Things like this remind me of why we share our stories so much!!

It's beyond me how Channel 4 can make perfectly good mental health documentaries one minute and this the next. Although after Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners, perhaps I shouldn't be so surprised...

I'm withholding judgement on this one. Psychopathy is a real phenomenon, albeit promoting negative stereotypes of mental illnesses. But I think it is interesting to analyse negative portrayals
Obsessive Cleaners is just a pile of poop tho

That's fair enough Laura, but it's the "how psychopathic are you" quiz and everything put together takes it far too far! Of course look at the negative sides of mental health, but not in the way it's being done

I'm with Laura I'm withholding judgement until I watch the programme. Psychopathy is a spectrum and anyone can fall on it, which I suppose is what's inspired the quiz, although medically speaking it's probably a load of tosh. As long as the programme explains the phenomenon to a level people can understand there's different extremes it may not be so bad, we shall wait and see. However, I have seen the advert for it on channel 4, and that itself is a bit disappointing.

Ive been watching obsessive compulsive cleaners and actually like it. I like things to be tidy and I think they are raising awareness of ocd so I dont get why people dont like it?
also, im quite excited to see the new channel 4 programme. We shouldnt judge a book by its cover. It might not be how you think its going to be. Wait until youve seen it before judging? Fingers crossed it doesnt cause controversy

Maybe I was too quick to judge.. but the quiz thing is ridiculous
and as for th compulsive cleaners... I could rant on about that.. but it's playing up to the typical stereotype..

I also did the quiz... and got a big fat 3%! I think the term psychopath is so overused now (much like depression) that it's accurate meaning has been lost. It'll be interesting to see how channel 4 approach the subject.

I'm sure the programme could be perfectly good if they didn't do that, but they do and it's not only damaging but really triggering. :/
