Hi everyone,
Welcome to the new phobias board. I would just like to highlight a few things about this board before you start posting away.
The main one is please be mindful of the words that you use when discussing certain phobias. For some people, a phobia is about the thought of the thing as well as the actual thing itself. In these cases, using certain words can be really triggering. If you have to discuss a certain thing, perhaps use something which hints at what it is, without being so explicit. As an example: "I'm worried about the winter as more people are prone to 'the dreaded'"
Also, don't forget your trigger warnings on posts that do go into a great amount of detail, this is to keep everyone safe. Finally, do not use look through the posts on this board if you are not feeling safe or strong.
Thanks everyone,
Bex x

thanks Bex. This applies to me so I will take note when posting and I do try include trigger warnings if I think they are needed.
