thewhisperrkid did a poll a few months ago now about who gave the worst response to your mental health issues - I thought it might be good to find out what people's best responses have been, to get some positivity flowing

My church leader actually. My parents kicked me out, him and his wife found me somewhere to live for free (I them couldn't stay there after being in hospital as I needed more support I couldn't get there). He has become a very good friend to me (in case your imagining he is old he really isn't he's about 30) and is the most supportive person in my life. When he first found out he offered to listen an told me no matter what happened he believed I could pull through this and that it didn't make me an invalid person or any less beautiful or any less me. Which I struggle to believe but he reminds me regularly. Him and his wife have helped every step of the way, visiting me in hospital, calling ambulances, taking me to professionals when I was in crisis and begging them to help me. Im very grateful for them.

This is a great idea, and I can't wait to read some other positive responses, but honestly, there hasn't really been any good responses for me. There has been a few pretty bad ones, but the rest has just been sort of "if we don't talk about it, it doesn't exist"
