I absolutely LOVE days that are productive. When I get to this time of night and think 'God, I did a lot today' I instantly feel like I could bounce off the walls. Yet, when I have days where I try to avoid all my work or pretend I don't have anything to do, then I end up feeling awful and going to bed at this time. My only issue is trying to have days like this every day. I can wake up with the best intentions in the world and then just hit a brick wall by 11am. Does anyone else feel that productive days are the best? I'm sure it's not just me! Also, does anyone have any tips for keeping that motivation going for more than a day or two? Thanks

Definitely with you completely on this!! Am rubbish with keeping the motivation, though weirdly I find healthy eating makes me more motivated to do more

Well this is my second early morning and I'm still feeling good. Must be something in the water at the moment! Tomorrow I'm going to work with Jake as a trainee electrician to get me out the house (I'm weirdly excited) so that will have to be my third day in a row.
That's interesting Lucy, although it makes sense. Healthy food is full of energy isn't it? I tend to eat rubbish food and carbs all day, which doesn't really help my energy levels. The coffee helps though!

Oh wow. That's incredible Bex!!!!! Look at you go! I'm so impressed.
Yeah I guess so. I'd probably be doing the same if I liked coffee, lol. Though, for now, healthy eating and exercise if definitely what gets me motivated....It's just getting enough sleep to be motivated for that haha

I definitely agree with the exercise thing!! Sometimes it takes me quite a while to psych myself up to do it, but i feel SO good afterwards!! I use my mindfulness techniques whilst I'm doing it as well, so I really focus in on each exercise, notice what it's doing to my breath, which parts of my body it's affecting, the sound of the music that's accompanying it. That actually makes it go quicker and feels better at the end. Bex that's amazing! You've been out so much recently this is all fab! Proud of you

I couldn't do it without any of you guys.
Know what I'm about to do? I'm about to walk to Boo's house (it's exactly a mile, I just looked it up) on my own to go and see her. I'm not sure if I'm buzzing out of excitement or nervousness. This will be only the third time I've left the house on my own in 14 months...EEEK!

Wow well done Bex! You're so right about productive days, but the problem is when you get the opposite - hate those days when nothing goes right no matter what you do. Would be great to hear if anyone's got any tips about getting back on track when the day has started badly x

And Michaela, as for the getting back on track thing.. sometimes you just have to take a step back and say, right this morning has started badly, but it doesn't need to be that way for the whole day. If it's out of your control and you have a bad day... then just breathe and laugh about the fact that nothing has gone right. There's always tomorrow to start again

Positive thinking is the key!!! I always feel like i've had a better and more productive day when I've been eating healthy and done some exercise

Definently, productive days are the best! It makes me so happy to get a lot of things done, and I feel good about myself. But yeah, like you, I have days when it's just impossible and when I go to bed feeling very low 'cause I haven't been able to get anything done.
I'm "between jobs" as they say, so it's about finding stuff to do between job-hunting. My mum's in the hospital right now, so I'm doing a lot of "house stuff" for her, which I like and which doesn't require a whole lot of socialising. Yay.

Thanks guys, I'm still so pumped. This is my 5th productive day in a row, which is a bit of a record for me in the last 6 months. I haven't really changed much in terms of eating/exercising but I have gone back to my routine of putting everything in a schedule and writing lists. I love lists! I think the positive effect of having a productive day is then leading onto the next one and so on. I did have a hurdle the other day when something didn't quite go as expected, but just 10 minutes on the phone to Jake and he made me realise that it didn't matter. I tried doing the '21 days' challenge, of having 21 productive days to make it a habit, but that didn't work out as I'd hoped. Perhaps it'll happen without me pushing for it this time round though
