that would depend as there are a few types of bipolar. Mind is a great place to start but it pasically means two poles. Depending on which type you have then determines how these two poles are characterised. You can have the typical one that everyone seems to presume you are when you talk of bipolar but there are short cyclic ones

happy to answer any questions that you may have as I am in the process to be treated for bipolar but still in diagnosis stage
