So today I was told I have to have a new care co-ordinator because my one was for short term work, but my case is too long term and complicated. And tbh I'm freaking out about it. I've only just got to know my current one, and she's helped me stop attempting suicide on a weekly basis, which I'd say was pretty big, and I get along with her. I've never had to change before because CAMHS here is rubbish and despite multiple referrals I never got seen. (Maybe if I had been I'd be a lot more healthy now, with my family still backing me instead of having disowned me and maybe even nearly finishing a dance degree, stupid anorexia screwed that up :/) so anyone got any experience of changing people? Especially care co-ordinators? Freaking out about having to tell everything again.

Hey, I'm afraid I don't have any experience of things like this, but I'm pretty sure that your current care co-ordinator should have a file on you which will have your details in it so that you don't have to explain everything again. And if not, they should be able to transfer these details if you ask (it would be pretty stupid if they couldn't considering that it's a mental health service and they're supposed to be preventing patient distress!).
