Okay, so during relaxation classes, we did this thing called progressive muscular relaxation. My psychologist rates it as the best thing since sliced bread but I wouldn't go that far, but if you can get your brain to switch off for long enough it really is quite relaxing! Basically, you start at your feet. You scrunch up the muscles in your toes, then your feet, then your ankles, calves, thighs...working all the way up to your face and scrunching up your eyes. But after you scrunch up each muscle, you hold it for about 10 seconds, take a slow deep breath, and unscrunch. As you work your way up your body you become more and more relaxed, as the tension leaves your muscles. It's good to have a relaxing song going on at the same time for added relaxation. It's just a simple way to relieve the tension in your body if you get too pent up
