Thanks for all your responses guys.
I've added a poll to give us a better idea of numbers. If you could kindly let us know if there will be any issues, then we can try to get them resolved for you.
Thanks
Bex

Definitely there, will need to bring my boyfriend though as an escort so I'm not allowed to travel places on my own.

Fali we still haven't found someone to organise Birmingham yet, so it may be a bit later than the 26th October. Rebecca that's fine, I think a lot of us will be bringing escorts

I wish I could come but I honestly don't think I'll be able to, plus I'm pretty sure the OCD Action Youth meetup is on the same day. D:

I've voted! I'd love to go if I'm in the position to be able to afford it - which I may not know until very close to the date itself. Coming from Glasgow would be massively expensive by public transport - so if there's any Scots/Northern Englanders that may be interested in driving down I'd be more than happy to share petrol costs.

I'm gonna throw something out here and see what people think. If we're looking at a 4 hr meet-up in London, that's a hell of a long way for someone like myself to travel for a 'day trip.' Having checked trains etc, it's a good 5 hr journey from Glasgow and probably not much less from the north of England (it's also over £200 for a return ticket). It would take a lot more than 5 hrs by any other mode of transport!
If we had a 1pm start, for example, I'd have to be up at 5.30/6ish just to get there on time and probably wouldn't arrive back home until close to midnight. That's a bit too stressful and long a journey to be honest.
Now...if people closer to London were perhaps willing to put some members up for the Friday (and possibly Saturday) night, that might work out. It would certainly be less stressful on those travelling long distances and they may even be able to cut the travelling costs. I'm not saying it would necessarily work out - but it's something to look into.

I'm part of a sexual abuse survivors forum too and we've had meet-ups on occasions that have literally been weekends away. We've got a dozen or so, picked a city, booked a hotel for the night and made a weekend of it. Maybe went sight-seeing on the Saturday afternoon, gone for a meal in the evening, went back to the hotel, had a few drinks, booked out on the Sunday morning, went for a pub breakfast/lunch and then headed home.
I know we're not in a position to do that just yet, but for future meet-ups, that may be the best way to go.
