Hi there everyone, I know I've been away for a while but I'm returning properly after the weekend when I will have a new laptop and so will actually be able to access the forum properly. Also, my mental health is a lot more stable now so that's a good that's definitely a good thing. I know I posted this on the facebook group but I was thinking... I would quite like to do something big to raise awareness and I was thinking that I might do a sponsored bungee jump (though the idea fills me with horror). I would like to put the money back into MiLO. My boyfriend would be willing to do this too! I know that we are now a non profit organisation (I think) and was wondering if we are yet a charity? Sorry, I'm not up to date on these things anymore.
I was thinking that I would go for a 300ft jump in Windsor (27/10/13) www.ukbungee.co.uk/bookjump/3217/ Info page is for the 160ft jump as you have to call for the 300ft. OR if I could sort out this out pretty quickly, a 400ft jump in Chepstow, Wales (12-13/10/2013) www.ukbungee.co.uk/bookjump/3187/Thoughts?!

I think this is an excellent idea, although obviously we'd have to raise the money to pay for the jump first (is that how it works?)
We have to raise £5,000 before we can apply to become a registered charity, which means we need lots of fundraisers to reach that target!
This would be an excellent thing to get us going. I also think Joel was talking about doing something like this too. What does everyone else think?

The cost of the jump would be aproximately £99-125pp but I would happily pay that myself now I have a full time job - I want as much of it to go to MiLO as I can. My boyfriend would want to get involved and he works in Finance so I'm sure he could try and get some wealthy work colleagues to donate >.<

That sounds amazing! I bet you could get that put in your local newspaper as well!

That really is a great idea! The one in Windsor is the day after the meet up, so perhaps people at the meet up could sponsor you too?!

I bungee jumped a few years ago and loved it. I know you already have places in mind. But here is the one that I went to www.ukbungee.co.uk/content/26/the-abyss-at-magna-the-awesome-foursome having done the intense day. But you can easily book the just the bungee jump if you want. Regardless of what you decide I think your idea of a sponsored bungee jump is an excellent idea.

IT'S BOOKED.
27/10/13. The day after the MiLO meet up. Sorting out gogetfunding page which I will complete and give link for this evening.
Need to chat about how to market this. Thinking of going to talktothepress.co.uk and writing a rough piece now. Also, think I will (finally) set up a google+ to come on hangout because I think this needs as much input as possible.
