Hi all,
We're currently looking for some more volunteers to help Minds Like Ours grow, especially as we now have plenty of blogs and vlogs to put up, plus lots of exciting things coming our way. Below are the roles that we're looking to recruit for, so please let us know if you would be interested and what previous experience/skills you have.
Volunteering with us is a great thing to have on your CV and also an amazing way to help us grow. We'd love for as many of you to be involved as possible, so looking forward to your applications!
Video editors (2 roles)
We have lots of vlogs to get up on our YouTube and it's fallen behind a little bit as I simply cannot edit them all myself. We do have one video editor left, BethH, so you guys will be working alongside her to get the videos up to scratch and in the same format as the others. Once we've got through the backlog it is then up to the team to come up with fresh ideas for videos! If you've got some creativity and a basic grasp of editing software (like Movie Maker) then apply now!
Blog editors (3 roles)
As with vlogs we have lots of blogs to get up on the website. We also need people who know about Wordpress to help make our blog even better, as it's a bit dark and gloomy at the moment. You'll be sent the backlog of blogs to get up on the website, along with relevant pictures. It's also up to you guys to find relevant news stories, re-write them and get them onto the blog. If you know how to use Wordpress then this is the role for you.
Moderators (3 roles)
We're looking for some more moderators to help fill in the gaps when we don't have mods on. This tends to be late night/early morning and also some times during the day as well. We're putting together a mod schedule at the moment, so please let us know when you're free/not free when you apply. Make sure you also know the rules like the back of your hand, so that you can enforce them
Recruitment Drivers (3 roles)
If you want to help get more people on board with MiLO then this is the role for you. Using all sorts of social media, commenting on blogs, joining Facebook groups, talking about us with your local community, whatever you can, to help us grow. There may be more than 3 roles available in the future, depending on how quickly Minds Like Ours grows with your help. Imagine how proud you'd feel if we hit 200 members with your help?
We will also be looking for another 1 or 2 MiLOfficers in the next week or so. This is not a job that you can apply for, as it will be based solely on your input to Minds Like Ours and how we feel you would be able to help us. If you DON'T want to be considered as an officer, however, then let me know so we can scratch you off the list.
