Guys, I know not many of you may be Christians... but I am... I've never been able to share this poem anywhere else, but as it's a positive poem and helped me.. I'm hoping it may help just one person in some way... It's about remembering how much power you have. You're a strong individual, beautiful and if you're going through hell, then keep going, because eventually you'll come out of the other side!
Don’t think you’re not enough as you are.
You’re forever changing, you have come far.
For you are stronger than you think.
There’s a lot lower you could sink.
You cannot see your beauty right now,
But you’ll be shown, one day, somehow.
A greater time in your life is to come.
I know your hurts, I know you’re numb.
For you are a child of mine you see.
So just take time to sit and be.
I’ll heal and protect you every step of the way.
It’s just that healing can’t take place today.
There’s a reason and it is good for you.
It wouldn’t work or take place if you knew.
But on this journey you’re not alone.
I’m always here, calling you home.
There’s a bigger picture you’re yet to see,
But don’t lose faith, just trust in me.
For, I do know what’s best for you.
I’ve carried you through, this you knew.
Pray to me the way I taught you.
I’ll give you my promise afresh, anew.
I’ve surrounded you with friends and love.
They’re the ones you’ll always speak of.
I placed them there to help you grow.
It’s not just you giving the help you know.
They’ve taught you well and changed you much.
It’s time for them to be your crutch.
For it is through them I am with you.
I’m on your heart like a tattoo.
I’m never very far away.
One day you’ll see me, one day you’ll stay.
