Hi I was just wondering if anyone hears voices? It's just I've never known anyone but me to hear them. I know people do but it would be nice to talk to someone about it because some people think I'm mad!  x |

i hear distant/ mumbles cant tell whats beying said tho i no its in my head tho beacouse i ask people if thay hear it to and thay dont and i can put my fingers in my ears and ts just as loud x i aslso hear a baby crying and people saying hello relly scares me sometimes the one distinct voice i had told me to stop takig my meds beacouse thay where poison and i stupidly listend to it :/ x

yep...I oten have a running commentary going on as I do things ....very annoying...I find it helps to talk back to them feel like I get a bit of control back.

I do hear them quite a lot. Mine are known as non-psychotic hallucinations.

I hear voices too, mine are mostly command hallucinations telling me to hurt myself, not very pleasant! :S

I do, one called Darren, but I can't tell you what he says. And a little girl who screams.
They currently think mine are non-psychotic, like Joel.

I have heard voices since I was a child so 30+ years and they don't bother me. It is the other parts of schizophrenia that I have trouble with.

Sometimes I think someone's called my name, and it freaks me out especially if I'm in a silent room and my friends say they didn't hear anything.

The most of an auditory hallucination that I ever heard was one telling me something about doing my laundry and moving out with the sound of a door closing. Funny thing is I was the only one who lived there so unless someone broke in or had the keys to my apartment, no one could of came in. Also the laundry thing was more of a personal thing as also the mere thought of moving out. Thats how I know it was in my head.
Other times I just hear my name being called softly. I moved back home as of the 1st of May. The people I live with now speak loud enough for me to hear them clearly. I doubt they would say my name "loud enough" for me to question whether or not "someone" actually said it. Mere differences in loudness and character usually is a clue that it came from inside my head.
