Ermmm I don't know where to start but ill guess ill intuduce myself aha well my name is Leroy Numa I have BI polar and I am a 18 year old Film and TV student I recently just came out about my condition and ever since I have seen people like me struggle and people laugh at people with MH disorders getting called names etc so once I saw a councillor and I felt more open about my condition I decided I wanted to help people like me that didn't get help but I also want to open the eyes of people who are laughing and people who are scared and this includes class mates, friends and most importantly Parents because iv had all the above being ignorant and laughing, telling me to man up and heck iv even been called a Devil.
So I came up with this idea to go onto the street with a camera and ask passersby "what do you think about when I say Mental Health Disorder" and I plan on having several people with me and have people guess who has what disorder I also am planing on going into Highschoosl and lecture the kids there about mental health disorders and I also plan on giving out a card to each student with contact details to people that have helped me.
I really want to target Highschools because that ls where people get bullied and called 'emos' and we all know that telling the teacher won't stop anything most of the time and I also think that a lot of teenagers live in silence with their disorders which can lead to suicide.
But yeah this might not sound great but trust me when I say that it is wayy better in my head aha well have a nice night
