Hi. I'm a 20 year old guy with anorexia, I have been stuck below a certain weight for over a year, no matter how much I eat or what I eat. I am just within the healthy bmi (sometimes) Help? I just can't gain weight

Hello, I am sorry I do not have experience of this so there's not much I can say other than advise you to let your GP or another professional know of this if you have not already.I hope you are well.

I do not believe that would be the best thing for me to do at this time.

Could I ask why you believe it wouldn't be best for you?

I can totally understand why you would want to avoid the NHS. So, have you thought about going on a diet specifically for gaining weight?

Sorry for the late reply, i would reccommend seeing a deitician, if your anti-nhs see a private one? A meal plan for weight gain should be between 2000-3000+, so try that?

I'm not anti-nhs, but I do think they're not much use, I am antipsychiatry, I do not want or need psychiatric help, and therefore don't want the mental health services (or even a gp) to be aware I have anorexia, or PTSD and whatever other disorders I have (too long to list), ever. Also I don't have much money so going private isn't really an option

Fair enough, maybe read some books on nutrition? Eat calorie dense foods?
