So, I was just wondering if anyone else on here had an IBD (inflamatory bowel disease) - ulcerative colitis or Crohns disease? Im under investigation for Colitis at the moment, and its basically set me back so far in my recovery because eating causes so much pain. Anyone have any experience? Or tips that got you through it? my next appointment is may, and I can barely eat because of the pain, my psych team are worried about how much weight i will of lost by then and i dont know what to do

I'm really sorry to hear you're having such a tough time I don't have any experience of Inflammatory Bowel Disease but I do have experience with bad Irritable Bowel Syndrome. After I had an amoeba infection and started getting really ill with IBS I honestly didn't want to eat. Eating was just so painful and useless because my body wasn't digesting it anyway. I'm sorry I don't have any tips to help but I can offer to listen. I really hope the pain lessens and you are able to eat.

My gp is keeping me stocked up with ensure plus, which I've refused throughout my ED because it's so scary, but I had to overcome that fear, or id of got no calories in me :/ now I can have soft an liquid door like soup

Oh that's awful. Do you have to have a colonoscopy or endoscopy to confirm it? It's bad you have to wait so long. My doctor was concerned with my symptoms so I got seen fairly quickly.
