Hey guys. Have an idea for a podcast (or series of podcasts) to raise awareness.
I have access to a radio studio through the uni and have all my radio broadcast qualifications and editing facilities so should be able to make a decent go at it if people are interested.
Being a journalist, it would probably allow me greater access to professionals and other learned people on the matter, so could have a doctor talking about a particular mh illness and its effects etc. which I think would be a massive help.
Couple of points to make though before anything gets arranged - I might only have access to the studio for another 6-7 weeks so it might be best to try and get it up and running as soon as possible so that I can take advantage of the facilities.
Also - there's only one phone line in the studio, which means unless people want to travel to Glasgow to be literally in the studio, it would have to be a series of phone calls with people that I can edit together rather than what I would actually prefer which would be 3/4 people in the studio having a discussion. If anyone is in Glasgow or near then I'd be delighted to have a live discussion in the studio, but I realise that might not be possible.
Any thoughts guys?

Hey Callum,
As you already know I really love this idea! I know that the technicalities of getting people up there may be difficult, but if a few of you are interested then we can definitely sort something out. I went on BBC Radio Kent once to talk about my agoraphobia and it felt incredible being able to talk about it to so many people. Plus people can't see you, so it's even better!
Professionals would also be a great idea. If we could get doctors/MH nurses and so on to explain that it IS an illness and not just a cry for help/plea for attention/all in the head/anything else people seem to think it is, then that would be a brilliant podcast to have on the site.
What does everyone else think?
