Have you tried counting sheep? Jokes But seriously, it depends what's keeping you up I guess.
If I get kept up by worrying about everything that needs doing, I'll right a list for the next day and plan long term if it needs that, so it puts my mind at rest.
If you can't sleep because your mind won't switch off, then I'm not sure Hun. Have you tried talking to someone who can reassure you if everything?
I'm useless with this! Sorry x

Can't switch off keep thinking about random things some of it's stuff I am worrying about but the rest is just random stuff that aren't important it's a pain and I keep ending up going to bed later than intended also so I get even less sleep and can't get out of bed till late coz I am too tired and cba so don't get the stuff done that I need to do
I Could try lists or at least writing stuff down I guess but I am not good at it

I have a never-ending battle with sleep! The only things that I find consistently help are eating properly, avoiding drinking alcohol regularly and doing lots of exercise. I find if I combine all of those things for a period of time then I can just about manage regular sleep consistently.

Chamomile tea works wonders for me, it instantly makes me relaxed and sleepy.
Exercise is also good. I find if I'm just sitting around and not doing anything I can't sleep well, so I try to go for at least a walk a day if nothing else.

Something that helps me sleep (or just relax) when I'm particularly anxious is using white noise. My favourite type of white noise is listening to the ocean. There are alarm clocks you can buy that can do this or various smartphone apps. My favourite app would be Relax Melodies.
