Hi there! I'm Frankie
I've been wanting to post here for ages, but the ward I've been on has really strict internet usage rules. I'm currently detained under a section 3 of the mental health act (boo) but I've got some home leave (yay) so here I am! It was actually another girl in the hospital who introduced me to MLO and I'm so glad she did because you all seem so lovely!
My latest - in a long long string of -psychiatrists has told me that I have Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder with psychotic features, but I was previously diagnosed with schizophrenia for four years. Every psychiatrist says a different thing, which is so confusing! My main outpatient psychiatrist thinks I have bipolar disorder, which is the only thing I really agree with - though he hasn't yet made a formal diagnosis. See - confusing!
***Trigger warning* I have been self harming since the age of twelve, and it's just got worse and worse since then - I've had to have two skin grafts in the last two months but I am desperately trying to stop. My team want me to go to a specialist residential self harm/bpd unit, but I've been denied because of the psychosis I experience (hearing voices, delusional thoughts etc). ***
I have two weeks at home to prove to my psychiatrist that I don't need to be on a section, so I am trying really hard to stay stable - but things haven't been going very well really. I don't think I will have a choice in residential treatment either.
Anyway sorry for rambling for so long. Just had to get some things off my chest!
Hope you're all well and looking forward to meeting some of you soon.
