I'm David and I have Bipolar Disorder 2 and I get agoraphobic at times, randomly.
I have been this way for a very long time and was first diagnosed in 1983. Doctor's were concerned about my behaviour quite awhile before that.
I live in Plymouth and have travelled a lot - riding the waves often.... I am married and very happy, my wife is American and we have been together for 20 years. She is very understanding and loves me despite my, at times erratic ways.
I'm probably the oldest person here at 61. Don't let that put you off! The profile photo of me was taken at age 59. I have a 28 year old daughter who is Bipolar. I am also a Granddad
I try to keep as fit as possible but often feel spaced out and depersonalised when at the health club so am thinking of dropping it.
Music has always been my life.
MLO is a wonderful idea and it's nice to have somewhere other than the big charities with highly paid staff.
I'm quite prepared to set up a Plymouth MLO and have added three people I know join MLO - We even have a world renowned poet!
Cheers everyone and if you have any questions about BP I will help. I have not let it run my life although sometimes it takes over. I like little highs it's just the lows I hate...
