Heyoo, musicos.
SO - this is a 'Music That Makes Us Happy' even though it is sad thread, I guess... I wanted to share this band with you because they make me feel so much better, because I feel so understood, and like I'm not alone when I listen to them. The singer has the most comforting, lovely voice and I have been listening to their new album 'Trouble Will Find Me' a LOT of late since this breakdown.
They sing a lot about sadness but there is such a sweetness, humour and hope to it all!
I recently got the song title 'Graceless' tattooed on my arm to cover a particularly icky SH scar.
I was listening to the new album in the car and the song just suddenly just clicked... the idea of falling (metaphorically!!!) though a window, a glass wall, into a different place - and especially when breakups / bereavement are involved, that feeling that the one person you miss could pull you back to the other side of the 'window'.
i know it sounds superbly fromagey (so cheese) to say it, but this band have got me through so much. I hope you like this song as much as I do, and that it gives you some comfort if you are feeling blue.

That and a song called 'Sorrow' from their last album, High Violet.
I know that in CBT we learn to listen to music to cheer us up, but I often find that sad songs, make me feel much better than overtly happy ones! Not being able to go back to that happy feeling or time that I remember can be more frustrating for me.
Ben Folds Five being the exception His happy is NEXT LEVEL!
I hope that's ok to share and you can hear the positive and comfort in it that I ca
