Hey all, I'm new to this and it seems like a lovely very supportive place to be. So hello Minds Like Ours couldn't be a better name... I feel less isolated just reading the threads and posts. I'm London based, got very orange hair and lots of tattoos, I read lots and lots and lots of books and listen to even more music, and I'm 29 (just! clinging on to my twenties like a limpet) and currently off work staying on the south coast with my pops as I've been pretty poorly with depression. The rest of the diagnosis is still up in the air although anxiety and SH are defos, though a PD or perhaps bipolar are still being assessed. It's a slower pace down here by the seaside, and it will be lovely to talk to people going through some of the same difficulties. Maybe I'm paranoid (uhm) but I find it hard to talk to even my closest friends and family about this sad stuff - I hate worrying them, and I know they don't get it, and it makes me feel so very different from them. I'm sure you all understand that feeling. The people I've met in crisis groups seem to get it more than even the MH workers. Anyhoos, uhm, PMA! And happy Friday nights to you all, though it doesn't seem to have quite the same meaning since being off work... Love and thanks in advance, I hope I can be of support and comfort and help CtB xxx

Hello Welcome to the forum! sorry to hear your off work due to your mental health but sometimes we have to put ourself & health first don't you think? I often think that the people who get it most are the people who have a) been through it or b) who are going through it I'm one of the ambassadors for anxiety by the way so if you fancy a chat I'm around Xxxx

Good morning and welcome I'm so glad that you find this site useful and you don't feel isolated. Feeling alone is one of the worst feelings anyone could have. I'm Keeley and the ambassador of PND (post natal Depression) but also suffer with Depression, anxiety, panic disorder, Social Phobia and I have previously suffered with Agoraphobia and Prenatal Psychosis. I am also one of the MLO Officers and I am about anytime if you need a chat/rant or have any questions Keeley@mindslikeours.co.uk x

Hey all Thanks for being so lovely and friendly. I started on Quetiapine yesterday and already feeling brighter, I don't want to get too excited but it might be that I'm finally onto something that is going to help long term! Slept like a zombie! Here's a cutie for you, I hope it cheers you all up. It's sorta how I felt this morning when I woke up... only maybe I'm weighing in at a little more....! All happy pictures welcome. ALWAYS! Is there a board for that?! xxx
