Hi everyone
My name is Claire and I am 43. I have a wee girl who is 6 and is my world. I also have a BF, two dogs and a cat. I'm currently off work (I'm a speech and language therapist) and have been for 2 months so far. The official reason is stress, which didn't surprise anyone at work, but I'm struggling with panic attacks and crippling anxiety as well as obsessive clock-watching and a degree of depression. My meds are being managed by my GP who is really supportive - I'm being weaned off paroxetine, and will be starting on citalopram next week to try and control the constant anxiety. Propranolol didn't work enough for me to justify the side-effects of extreme tiredness and headaches.
I'm here for support from like-minded people, and to offer support as well in whatever way I can. Looking forward to meeting you! Claire x

Helloo!! Well, my name is Leanne! Im on a gap year before starting uni! Last year my struggle with anxiety peaked.. (traits of social phobia and OCD) and I started CBT which has proved hugely helpful!! I've struggled with my mood and self harm but am pleased to say CBT helped with that too and im now in recovery! I am part of a group about raising awareness and improving access to mental health services for young people in my area. I am passionate about voicing mental health issues, sharing my experience and making video's on YouTube to try and help others! I believe everyone is equal, everyone's story matters, chase your dreams and let your voice be heard!! Peace x

Hi, I'm Jo, I'm 24, I used to work as a TA in a pupil referral unit but I start my PGCE in primary education in a few weeks time. I'm currently writing this from a hospital bed as I'm undergoing treatment. Having a bit of a bad spell mental health wise. I've been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and depression, I suffer from anxiety in big crowds and I am too well known in my local a&e for severe self-harm, which I have been doing for around 12 years now.
I have a good CPN who's really supportive and I start DBT soon which I'm looking forward to- hopefully it'll help me sort myself out!
Other than that i have a wonderful husband- we've been married for nearly 2 years. A great group of friends who try support me, even though I struggle to explain whats wrong, a beautiful 3 month old niece, a great church I go to regularly, and I spend lots of the summer out sailing on the sea in dinghys.
Thats me. Hi.
