Sonic Boom Six are outstanding! I was live on stage with the Dropkicks a few years ago too and actually have one of the towels they used during the gig. Lol. Great band. That whole Celtic punk scene is awesome. Flogging molly, The Real McKenzies etc. Cracking stuff.
Emilie Autumn is prob my favourite just now and defo someone we should all get into! She's got a whole host of mental health illnesses and most of her songs tackle issues related to that. It's pretty cool. It makes me feel less alone when I listen to her.

The Specials.....YES. I DJ'ed for them years ago when I was the DJ at Plymouth's Fiesta Suite, Madness and The Selecter were also on the bill. I got really pissed with a few of the Madness guys after.. Everyone seemed like kids then. I saw Blink 182 support Madness in Oakland, California in 1998 www.songkick.com/concerts/9807458-madness-at-henry-j-kaiser-arenaToday's iPod music: Sex Pistols Ramones Roxy Music Sharleen Spitieri Chopin Stranglers

Wow! I didn't know so many of us enjoyed punk/metal/ska music!! David - I envy you. ALOT! I bet that was one drinking sesh that was worth the hangover!! I tended to cover up my problems with booze back then... along with a Diazepam.. kept me calm. Yes I did get plastered! Madness were so young back then. Good days Keeley I worked with quite a lot of good bands back then. I played space invaders with Lemmy - he kicked my arse, ever such a nice bloke. I worked with The Jam twice, the Buzzcocks when they first started oh so many more. u2 - I worked with them way back in the late 70s and I thought they were pretty boring so I sat on a beer crate side stage for the gig ... I'll never forget The Edge playing I Will Follow sat on the stage in the afternoon... the club cleaner said to me "...can't you tell that twatt to turn it down...." ha ha I couldn't handle people with ego's that needed a massage and my first prize for biggest arsehole would have to go to Roger De'courcey - Nookie Bear was ok though D
