I'm 49, married, 2 girls grown and left. I've been diagnosed with depression since 92/3, then Bipolar in 2003 and then last year Borderline Personality Disorder and then a couple of months ago Dysthymia. I'm okay with the BPD diagnosis as that seems right. I can date back my odd behaviours to when I was 14. I've had all the (legal prescription) drugs at some point and hate drowsiness as the side-effect. I can cope with others but not being fully awake is super annoying.
I used to smoke/drink and quit 10 years ago.
Atheist, pierced, tattooed, have chronic migraines, play video games, Leon is the Best Film Ever, listen to The White Panda and Milkman a huge amount, trying to get into a daily habit of cycle riding, I like meditation. Both love and hate the internet. Am online constantly, love IRC.

Hey Vanilla!
Welcome to the forum. Two things: Which video games? And secondly, LEON is an incredible film.
I know what you mean about coping with all the side effects other than drowsiness. Trying to live your life when you want to crawl back into bed everyday is a nightmare. I tried energy drink and found that it actually made me worse the next day, almost like a hangover. So now I'm off the meds and energy drink, but I still get the urge to nap during the day.
Anyway, I'll stop going on now! Look forward to seeing you on the boards x

Which games? All of them My Steam backlog is huge and I own far too many consoles and games. But we all have our vices Glad you like Leon And energy drinks - I live on them. If I stopped buying Asda's Diet Kick the store would notice.

Amazing. When I was younger my Dad owned a computer game shop. I felt like the luckiest little girl in the world! I'm slowly getting back all of my old consoles and games, but it's a slow process as some of them are extremely expensive.
I think energy drinks are the bane of my life. I think I'm over them and then I'll crave a relentless and all of a sudden it's a slippery slope again. Eugh!

Hi Vanilla,
I'm an ambassador for bipolar and I should have put myself down for bpd too, but I forgot lol
It'll be good to chat sometime but I don't do games (sorry). Not a console in the Cabin.

Hi Vanilla how are you? What tattoos do you have? I love video games as well, I have a PS3 and a Nintendo Wii, I use to have a PSP, and a xbox360 and I have owned almost all game consoles. Hopefully I can get a Nintendo 3DS soon in time for Pokémon X and Y.

Hey Vanilla, I too hate that drowzy not fully here feeling I get when on meds. Its enough to keep me in bed all day if I can. I have to ask this because I'm not a big movie girl (I read way more than watch movies) But what is Leon and what about this movie makes it so good in your opinion. Also can I find it on Netflix because I'm always looking for something new to watch when I get in the mood to put down my book.
