hi guys i just wanted to ask, when anyone gets angry/depressed do you dissociate? it seems to happen to me every time and i'm pretty sick of it to be honest

Yeah, this happens to me all the time, it generally happens if I'm feeling stressed or down. It doesn't always bother me but when it does I try and keep myself in the here and now, if that makes sense, by focusing on what's around me, like thinking about what I can see and smell for example. I might perhaps listen to Music as well if that doesn't work.

Not so much when I'm down now but certainly when I'm stressed. I bought a worry ring (from Etsy) which I play with when I start getting stressed and focus hard on it to try and stay in the now. Seems to help.

It usually happens to me under extreme stress, when i'm seriously sleep-deprived or when i'm very anxious or panicky. When I was pregnant I constantly had times I thought either I didn't exist or the world and people in didn't.
