HI, my name is Rob. I live Orlando, FL in the USA.
There was an announcement at work recently and I guess it so disrupted me that it sent me into panic mode!
I work as a security screener over at Orlando International Airport. I work for the TSA. For the last 11 years I screened baggage. Now there's going to be change! I'll now have to screen people as well.
I've also discovered that I have Asperger syndrome and had it for years. It could explain all the problems I've had since childhood.
Because of Asperger's as well as the panic and anxiety problems, It might be rough on me since I am stuck here at the airport.
Mind you, I AM glad to have a job! If I didn't, things would be worse!
I am taking things day by day.
Glad top be here!
Rob

A big hello to you Rob from here in England!
Think we have one or two members from the USA. However, from what I have seen recently they aren't active members anymore. Hopefully though you will see that this is a forum where you can receive help and give support to others in a positive online environment.
I am also pleased to hear you are able to find positive in your life, as it is very easy to only see the negative.

Hi, welcome to MiLO! I'm sorry you get panic and anxiety problems. That must be difficult if you are going to have to interact more with people if that is something you don't feel as comfortable with. I hope we'll see more of you round here

In my job, I interact with lots of people. My problem that I have is actually dealing with training for the job as well as mgmt., who are always watching all the Officers as they do their jobs.
I do the best I can. But being (I think) a touch paranoid doesn't help my situation...
Having to watch passengers is bad enough. Over zealous managers is another story.
