I struggle with negative thought that get me low. this can range from coments in the past to lies that ive believed about myself since being younger. This week its been my horrible co worker who has syched me out due to interviews being done at work and i cant confront her about it till after interviews as I dont want to make it any worse.
how you do cope with it and how do you battle it without crying for like an hour?

I don't really have any answers but can I assure you you aren't alone. I get negative thoughts too. Sometimes distracting myself works with reading or sudoku or running or making something or cooking. But sometimes I do just have to cry, or I resort to unhealthy coping mechanisms. Might be worth drawing up a list of things that can distract you. Anything that occupys your whole brain and body is good because it doesn't give you a chance to think. Sorry, not much help, but keep fighting, it will get better.

If it isn't too triggering to you I'd suggest that you take the negative and try to look at the truth and how much better things have got since the bad stuff. I like to think about the positive people in my life and the stuff I've done to take charge of your life. The other thing as the others have suggested is to find distractions. I always try to make something if I am thinking negative thoughts as then I have something positive out of it. Which is why I own so much homemade stuff....

I am not sure if this will help, as its more useful for anger. But I have major anger issues and my parents got me a punch bag. The punch bag has helped me a great deal and it might help you banish some of those negative thoughts. So, maybe that is something you could consider for yourself?
