MissBlack, I'm the other way around. I hate winter, but love Christmas! I hate the cold and the snow (which we unfortunately get a lot of in Denmark!!) and the darkness, but I love the lights and decorations, and the "christmas-mood" that people are in. Finding and giving gifts is one of my favorite things to do. So it's good that Christmas is in December, otherwise I think I'd find that month completely depressing I also love New Year's. The one time of year when you are able to get drunk with all of your friends and family

I can't say how much I love the Cold, I hate heatwaves, I have to admit that Autumn is my favourite season, I love the colours and smells of Autumn and as much as I love winter as well, Christmas does my nut in. Take away all the commercial crap then it's great.
It might sound daft but I love reading even more than normal in Autumn and Winter, there is a better atmosphere during this time to do so for me, what with using a desk lamp, heating on, snuggled up, the Cats laying next to me/on my knee, I can be engrossed for hours. I guess it's cosier for it, if that makes sense?

I have a love/hate relationship with autumn/winter. I love being able to wrap up in jumpers, coat, gloves and a scarf and I love the change of colours in autumn. I love being able to drink hot squash, tea, hot chocolate and copious amounts of coffee and SOUP (my favourite thing ever).
Equally, autumn/winter I always associate with my moods going downhill. It doesn't actually make a lot of sense because they can be crap at any time of the year. I can't seem to shake that December/January are normally my worst lows.

I absolutely hate the cold and rain when I'm living at uni because my housemates don't like to put the heating on. When I'm at home for Christmas it's lovely because it is all warm and cosy inside
