So I noticed the other day one of my favourite books has the film version being released next week! I am SO excited to see The Book Thief.
Have any of you got any really good adaptations from pages to screen? Sometimes it can be done spectacularly. I love to read a book and then watch the film, although I can't do it the other way around.... book always has to come first!

I've not heard of The Book Thief, I'll have to look it up! With all the books I've read as a child it's funny that I can't think of maybe that have been made into films. It'll be something to think about!
But definitely always read the books first! You need to create the people in your head before you see someone else's interpretation of them.

An old one but a classic really...To Kill A Mockingbird, book and film are both brilliant!

I'm mega excited about the Book Thief too. A really great book, although from reading the reviews, the film appears to generally be considered a bit of a let down.
Going proper Scottish here, but Whiskey Galore is my favourite film of all-time! I love it. One of the few films that I would say are even better than the book.
